We started in 2004 as a small community of Dutch meeting on the internet, and soon in 'real life'. 21:13 < sense> We've grown to a large community that manifests itself mostly on the internet, with a forum of 22000 members, and organise a few activities every year. 21:13 < sense> The largest group is the forum, which is the support and chat forum for all Dutch speaking Ubuntu users. 21:13 < paultag> Great! 21:13 < sense> We offer support on IRC, and on a mailing list as well. 21:13 < paultag> sense: I see you do Translation work, can you talk a bit about that? 21:15 < sense> Due to the fact that Dutch is not bound to one country, and due to historical reasons, the translation team is a part of the Dutch Ubuntu community, but not as much a structural part of the LoCo. However, there are no separate communities. 21:15 < sense> The translators are working together with Debian and GNOME translators. 21:15 < sense> They organise real life or digital sprints for every release. 21:15 < sense> Since the Dutch translations in Compiz were orphaned they are working on that as well. 21:15 < paultag> sense: do you know offhand what percent is translated? 21:16 < sense> paultag: I can look that up real quick on Launchpad. 21:16 < sense> but we're doing pretty well 21:16 < leogg> sense: how about meetings? do you have regular meetings on IRC or IRL? 21:16 < paultag> sense: it's OK, no need to look it up :) 21:16 < UndiFineD> http://wiki.ubuntu-nl.org/community/Vertaalteam/Status 21:16 < MootBot> LINK received: http://wiki.ubuntu-nl.org/community/Vertaalteam/Status 21:16 < sense> NB: Vertaal is Dutch for translate 21:16 < paultag> thanks UndiFineD :) 21:17 < sense> Ubuntu Nederland is currently undergoing a process of reorganisation. Our governance is very unstructured. We do, however, have monthly IRC meetings that are open to everyone. 21:17 < sense> There is no formalised decision-making process active, but we're working on that. 21:17 < sense> The new governance structure should be adopted in January 2011. 21:18 < sense> To discuss this we have a real-life meeting at 16 January. 21:18 < leogg> sense: nice! 21:18 < hajour> great 21:18 < paultag> sense: How are your team reports? 21:19 < paultag> I really like the "ledenkaart" -- Is that code Open Sourced? 21:20 < sense> paultag: We have slowly been starting with using team reports, in Dutch. The report of this month (currently being written) is located at . 21:21 < Ronnie> the 'ledenkaart' has an old version on launchpad, im working on a new one tough: http://www.allesoverlinux.nl/ubuntu/kaart/ (which is open source) 21:21 < paultag> sense: you might want to consider copying them to the ubuntu wiki in the team reporting framework to make sure you get included in the snapshots :) 21:21 < paultag> Ronnie: looks great! 21:21 < leogg> sense: I don't see any events in 2010? 21:22 < sense> leogg: There certainly were events in 2010. Where are they missing? 21:22 < sense> paultag: Ronnie is doing a lot of work on making Ubuntu NL's website available on Launchpad. 21:22 < sense> amongst other things 21:22 < leogg> sense: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DutchTeamApprovalApplication 21:23 < JanC> leogg: there is the release party in Ede 21:23 < sense> leogg: It must have gone missing. :S I'm sure there used to be a part about the large 10.04 release party in May this year there. 21:23 < sense> That was organised in cooperation with HCC!. 21:23 < Gotiniens> search for HCC! on that page and you will find it 21:23 < nhandler> /5/window balance 21:23 < sense> There are events in the Loco Directory, and on releaseparty.eu 21:23 < JanC> as well as 2 other release parties listed 21:24 < sense> http://releaseparty.eu is the shared website to list releaseparties of Ubuntu BE and Ubuntu NL. 21:24 < MootBot> LINK received: http://releaseparty.eu is the shared website to list releaseparties of Ubuntu BE and Ubuntu NL. 21:24 < paultag> Ah, I see it 21:24 < paultag> thanks sense :) 21:24 < sense> http://loco.ubuntu.com/teams/ubuntu-nl 21:24 < MootBot> LINK received: http://loco.ubuntu.com/teams/ubuntu-nl 21:24 < leogg> JanC, sense yep, I can see it now, but they're a bit difficult to find in the application 21:24 < sense> Ah, we should have made them more visible. 21:24 < paultag> [LINK] http://loco.ubuntu.com/teams/ubuntu-nl/events/history 21:24 < MootBot> LINK received: http://loco.ubuntu.com/teams/ubuntu-nl/events/history 21:25 < paultag> sense: good to see you're working with the LD :) 21:25 < sense> paultag: Most of the work there is being done by community members who are involved in the events now, I can't do much because my changed Launchpad username broke things in the LD. 21:25 < paultag> Ahha
