On tablet; keyboard sideways

Across the board, with the exception of the Browser app, if I tap on a text field, the keyboard will show in portrait mode. When I turned my Nexus 10 on for the first time after flashing, the OSK will only show in portrait mode. The OSK will also take up half of the screen(See provided photo). While typing, the system also will not input the letter tapped, instead it will input what button or link is behind the OSK. In the browser, however, the OSK will show up in the correct orientation, and will work properly.

Ubuntu Touch 14.04 (r166) on Samsung Nexus 10.
In my case, does not affect all apps but some native tools like
 * Contacts
 * Messages
 * Friends
