Bug Description

Dolphin crashes when creating a new folder (kubuntu 16.04) while the parent folder contains folder or file names with CJK characters.

With Japanese language dolphin's context menu actually contains two different menu points for that action: 1. "Folder" and 2. "フォルダー".

Dolphin crashes when selecting the first one of the two menu points mentioned, when Japanese is the main language.

Dolphin crashes when selecting the second one of the two menu points mentioned, when language different from Japanese is the main language.

It's strange there are no comments to this report. I am experiencing the same problem independently of the parent directory name. You might want to take a look at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355390 to see if it helps.

For anyone coming here after search the "ugly workaround" from @Leonid Barchan post:

Ugly workaround: remove file /usr/share/templates/Directory.desktop

does the job for me (on several 16.04 instances).
