inconsistent space-char width in gedit

Bug Description
I noticed that gedit (localized for Japan?) select distinct width for a space char, depending contents of each line.
When I typed the lines containing space chars in beginning of line,
I noticed width of space chars changed depending on the contents of the lines.
Especially:
[space]
[space]
The attached file contains a screen shot of showing a concrete example of the above.
