Bug Description

The ubuntu-html5-app-launcher is crashing immediately for me. (flo image running devel r2.) This happens for existing projects as well as newly-created ones. It happens when launching from Qt Creator as well as launching apps installed on the phone. There doesn't seem to be any debug information output before the crash.

Do you see something particular in /var/log/syslog ? Otherwise, can you share the click package and ubuntu-html5-app-launcher binary that produces the crasher ?

I don't see anything suspicious in syslog, nor are there any relevant files in ~/.cache/upstart. I can produce this with the default HTML5 project. I can make this into a click if you'd like. The launcher binary is the default in the devel r2 image, with MD5 5c2eaf828932b4ad18c21ec395e79623.

Well, it's working now. The framework had been set to ubuntu-sdk-15.04. This did produce an error on build, but I ignored it. I just tried setting it to ubuntu-sdk-14.10, and it worked. Then I reset it to 15.04, and it still works.

I don't know what to make of this. If you want to close the bug, that's fine. But I'm also happy to run further diagnostics if they would help.

So apparently it only happens the first time you create a html5 project w/ a fw not available in the target device. That is weird since you should not be able to install a click app from qtc on the device (when you select 'run') if the framework is not available.

does it also happen w/ a qml app?
