Bug Description

When updating an extension in the Extensions Manager (20221205), I logged out, when logging in, an ERROR warning appeared, gray screen. I opened a new user account and uninstalled EXTENSIONS. Ubuntu 22.10 is working again but in "settings - ubuntu desktop" I get the message that "No ubuntu settings found" - "Ooops, somethingg has gone wrong. Please report a bug in Launchpad."
I tried reinstalling "gnome-control-center" (https://askubuntu.com/questions/1438756/how-to-restore-ubuntu-desktop-setting-thats-missing-in-ubuntu-22-10) but it didn't work .
If I install any version of "Extensions" or "Extensions Manager" with my new "user", the old user's Ubuntu stops working.

The issue was resolved using the tip found at https://askubuntu.com/questions/67764/how-to-remove-and-reinstall-gnome-3 by Esmaeil MIRZAEE who suggested purging gnome-shell and reinstalling it. Just "remove" wasn't enough.

"1 and 2 provide a simple step by step guide to install Gnome on Ubuntu. However, for the sake of completeness, first of all, remove the current Gnome by apt purge gnome-shell. And then reinstall the following packages, apt install gnome -shell ubuntu-gnome-desktop.

Finally, one more thing is to choose the default graphical interface, for instance, when you are hosting LXDE and Gnome-3 simultaneously on your PC, it will ask for gdm3 V lightdm.

I reinstalled "Extensions" and the gray screen problem came back, but in "Settings/Ubuntu Desktop" now the options appear and I can use the options of "Dock" and "Desktop Icons".

I was able to get the "Extensions Manager" working using the Flatpak version.
Installing the .deb and snap versions, Ubuntu returned to the gray screen and crashed.
