Select all shortctu (Ctrl+A) doesn't work in Caps Lock mode

Bug Description
Replicate as follows:
1. Enable Caps Lock
2. Put the cursor in a text field with text
3. Use the shortcut Ctrl+A
Result: No text is selected.
Expected result: All text to be selected.
Hardware system: Dell XPS 15 9560 (2017)
OS: Ubuntu Gnome 16.04.3
Kernel: 4.10.0-37

As of today this is no longer an issue. Current kernel: 3.13.0-38
