Bug Description

Hello, im facing and issue with nvidia(381) blob and gnome under wayland.
By default it seems the blob dosent enable KMS and you need to manualy enable it has ive found out in:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/907727/no-way-to-choose-wayland-in-gdm-using-ubuntugnome-17-04

** COMANDS:
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia-graphics-drivers.conf -> modeset=1
sudo update-initramfs -u

But once enabled ive facing issues with GDM's resulotion (its not respecting my native resulotion) and cant launch several apps or install any.

** QUOTE
"but that workaround breaks something as I was not able to run anything as root or superuser."

Also cant launch steam, i get:
-> SteamUpdateUI: An X Error occurred
-> X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)

Im running ubuntu 17.10 fully updated.

Besides this issues, everything works fine and smooth.
