Something that I have been long annoyed about is the fact that if I want to select something as my desktop wallpaper which I don't want to move into my Pictures folder, and isn't already one of the built-in wallpapers that comes with Ubuntu GNOME, I have to either locate it in a file manager and select the set as wallpaper option from the right-click menu, or I have to use an application such as Photos.
What I would much prefer is to be able to go into the gnome-control-center's Background section and have a button which would allow me to select custom locations for looking for wallpaper images so that it would list all the image contents of a certain folder, or I would be able to just choose a certain image anywhere on my hard-drive and it would copy that file into my Wallpaper folder and then use it. Even if there is no option to choose a custom location to look in as well as or instead of the Pictures folder, an option to choose a custom image from anywhere on the hard-drive would be good that would allow for you to browse for it. |

Obviously I mean this would be the case for both the desktop wallpaper and the lock screen wallpaper. |
