Bug Description

The colors picked for background and text during a file rename operation make the text unreadable.

Using Ubuntu GNOME 16.04, just updated to make sure I am on latest stable version of everything.

Steps to reproduce:
- Open 'Files'
- Select any file
- Press F2

Hi,
Thanks for your bug report, are you using Adwaita (The default theme) or some other 3rd party theme.

I cannot reproduce the issue here.

In 'Tweak Tool', I could see I am using Adwaita.

System is pretty much default, clean installation.

I have the same effect in three different computers, updated from 14.04 to 16.04 (Ubuntu Gnome flavor).

This only seems to affect systems that upgraded from 14.04, so presumably there is some config hasnt migrated correctly

Gabriel,

Could you try switch to the dark theme in Tweak Tool, then do nautilus -q, launch nautilus and then switch it back to the light theme, do nautilus -q again and launch nautilus again and test.

Bruce,

I tried the steps you mentioned, but after getting back light theme, the
problem still persists. Let me describe in the details what I did (maybe
something is wrong):
1) Open Tweak Tool
2) Toggle the global dark theme button (so it is ON now) and close Tweak
Tool
4) Open Terminal, run nautilus -q and close terminal
5) Open 'Files' (nautilus) and close it
6) Open Tweak Tool
7) Toggle the dark theme button (so it is OFF now, thus light theme)
8) Open Terminal, run nautilus -q and close terminal
9) Open 'Files' (nautilus) and try to rename any file (using F2).

Let me know if more info is needed.
