Networks list not populated in Sharing settings

Since GNOME 3.14 you have to select a network in the different sections in "Sharing" settings to specify to which network the sharing applies.
The "Networks" list isn't populated with network entries though. No wired nor wireless connections are listed. This makes it impossible to e.g. enabled "Media Sharing" because it results in the following error:

    (gnome-control-center.real:9638): sharing-cc-panel-WARNING **: Failed to enable service rygel: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.InvalidArgs: Sharing cannot be enabled on this network, status is '0'

An attempt to toggle "Media Sharing" on with make the toggle quickly switch from on to off again.

Why isn't the list populated and how do I fix it?

This requires Network Manager 0.9.10 to work properly, that should be landing this cycle, but if it doesnt we may need to revert per-network sharing patches.

I'm sorry to hear that. I was hoping for a solution or work-around for 14.10 because the complete sharing section is now unusable, but I guess that's the risk of going for a staging GNOME release :-/

For those running into the same problems: at least for Rygel (media sharing) you can enable it manually by installing and using rygel-preferences. Without additional trickery you'll have to do it after each reboot though.
