vino-preference is missing in gnome shell application.
I search the .desktop files:
/usr/share/app-install/desktop/vino:vino-preferences.desktop
/usr/share/applications/vino-preferences.desktop
by editing them, I see that they contain a line
OnlyShowIn=Unity
I change it to
OnlyShowIn=GNOME
and it worked (paid attention to upper case)
I think a lot of other app is in this case:
grep -r "OnlyShowIn=Unity" /usr/share/applications/

I am not 100% sure, but I think the vino stuff is integrated into gnome-control- center (atleast for 3.10+, which should land in utopic soonish)
Most of those other hits are due to "Desktop Actions" which are Unity specific so they are correct
