Bug Description

Hi.

I made a fresh install of the 14.04LTS AMD64, on a lenovo x200s notebook. previously I was usng ubuntu 12.04 LTS, it was wotkign fine wo probelms.

I tried installing with full disk encryption then with homedir encryption, and then without encryption. The results are the same.

Details of the bios and the krnel panic had been attached to this report.

The notebook has the latest bios. I've checekd the memory with memtest, no problem. I used lenovo hdd diagnostic program, reported no problems.

I switched off NX protection in the BIOS, I tried compatibility and ahci mode for the SATA, but no difference. The installer itself and the live cd runs well, but upon boot, after loading the initrd I receive the attached error.

I even tried to completely zero out the HDD, to get rid of possible problems with previous grubs, partiion problems, etc. during installation I used the standard methods only.

Update: I could install ubuntugnome 13.10, wo problems. Then I upgraded it to 14.04, and now it works. So it is definately something with the inataller.

I am experimenting the exact the same problem on a Lenovo X200. I have not tried installing version 13.10 yet and that's going to be my next step but the installer for 14.04 fails with a Kernel Panic as displayed on the picture.
