Bug Description
When selecting an application in Ubuntu Software Center running on Ubuntu Gnome 14.04, the text is white. This makes it very difficult to read. The text should change to a darker colour. Not sure if the bug should be placed against Ubuntu Software Center or another component but the software center is where the problem shows up.
Screenshot attached shows VLC selected. The white text is difficult to read.

It's a usability issue that doesn't limit the functionality of a core package.
