Bug Description

gnome-shell 3.10.0.1-0ubuntu1~saucy0.1 in Ubuntu GNOME 13.10 crashes if you enter a blank password on a seahorse keyring. That's the normal step you have to do if you use auto-login and don't want the annoying keyring prompt. This has worked with gnome-shell for ages, but seems gnome-shell 3.10 has broken it. This bug is repeatable on call.

Maybe you are using lightdm display manager? I've found, that installing gdm and removing lightdm package fixes empty password on a keyring crash, see bug #1285746

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. I apologize that we are not always to respond to bug reports promptly. Ubuntu 13.10 reached End of Life in 2014. See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

Please upgrade to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and re-test. If the bug is still
reproducible, increase the verbosity of the steps to recreate it so we
can try again.

Do feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
