Bug Description

Using Epiphany with the webkit2 backend in Raring (with the staging PPA), AdBlock doesn't work even if I uncheck "allow ads". According to https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=699648, there should be a libephywebextension.so in /usr/lib/epiphany/3.8/web-extensions/, but I don't even have a /usr/lib/epiphany folder. Maybe a packaging issue?

Have you true insalling the extensions using the following-

sudo apt-get install epiphany-extensions

Then maybe install or reload the extension you want.

Dhruv: epiphany doesn't use extensions anymore. Adblock is now supposed to be directly integrated into the browser.

And, by the way, the epiphany-extensions package is now useless and totally empty.

Julien, the Epiphany developers have dropped support for extensions.

Adblock though should be bundled with Epiphany 3.8. This will be fixed in the next release from Debian and somebody will get around to backporting it to the GNOME3 PPA too.
