Déjà vu, today! As noted on:

  https://github.com/google/fonts/issues/2172

in the sample text:

  yayā sammohito jīva
  ātmānaṁ tri-guṇātmakam
  paro 'pi manute 'narthaṁ
  tat-kṛtaṁ cābhipadyate

In the screenshot, the characters 'ṛ' and 'ṁ' are being substituted from a different front. This can be seen from the serif on the top of the left-hand-stem of both.
