Rendering of Ubuntu Medium 'm'

I like Ubuntu font but letter 'm' in some sizes id shown differently.
It is possible to view at ubuntu page http://font.ubuntu.com/ at Ubuntu Medium is upper side of letter m flat. But all other preview is shown correctly. Is it bug or feature?
This deformation is only on some sizes...

This is the result of hinting. We can see that not only 'm' is affected, but also 'BDEGbd' have been clamped to the baseline/x-height/cap-height (compare to 'a'), and the diagonal cut-offs at the top of 'bdh' have been flattened (compare to the top of 'kl').

Maybe I don't understand if it is bug or not ?

BranKo: whatever you are seeing is not _just_ affecting 'm', but also 'BDEGbd' aswell (per comment #3). I don't know enough about setup (what operating system, browser, where the font was installed/downloaded from). At the moment it's not possible to replicate it to determine precisely the cause (but the cause is probably not the font itself).
