Bug Description

This character is one of the additions in Unicode 7.0.

It is already present in Source Sans Pro. https://twitter.com/pauldhunt/status/431240671609905152.

This character is needed for the Ubuntu Keyboard as mentioned in this merge proposal: https://code.launchpad.net/~roman2861/ubuntu-keyboard/ubuntu-keyboard/+merge/221590

There should be also ability to type in it by AltGr+8

Hey, I've updated Ubuntu to 14.10 few days ago and now ruble sign is displayed correctly. Could anyone else confirm?

This bug is about the addition of the symbol to the *Ubuntu fonts*, which still has not happened. It never dealt with the presence of it in other system fonts.
