Bug Description

It would be very interesting to have the File Manager app without authentication as the Terminal.
And show the hidden files.

Anyone is free to submit packages to the OpenStore. Perhaps the file manager people are interested in maintaining a password-less version in the OpenStore?

I agree this would be a nice to have thing. I would recommend adding a cmake option which could be triggered at build time to switch off the feature. We already have -DCLICK_MODE=ON, we could also have -DAUTH_MODE=OFF to toggle off that option.

ah nice. So a submission would be very straight forward.

The bigger issue (even if not particularly big either) is keeping it up to date. So we'd need someone that submits the terminal app to the open store each time it is updated in the official store.

sorry, I obviously meant file manager app... (I would happily hand over submission of the terminal app to someone else too btw.)

Given I upload both apps to the store, and that's not a heavyweight process, I'd be happy to upload both clicks to both stores.
