Bug Description

When the toolbar is open, clicking results in the click being recognized as if it were lower than where the mouse was clicked. This doesn't happen when the toolbar is closed.

Example: File Manager

Device: Nexus 4
Mako
Updated 24th Sept

In the home folder of file manager, when you select a folder, the folder below opens. E.g. select Documents and Downloads will open. Select Downloads and Music will open.

Did this happen while the toolbar was opened or closed? I think this is a SDK bug in the toolbar that causes clicks to be offset when the toolbar is open. Can you check to see if this bug occurs when the toolbar is open but doesn't happen when it is closed?

When the toolbar is open, the bug occurs as described.

With the toolbar closed, touches work correctly.

I've also noticed this in my own application, Ubuntu Tasks. So the problem is not specific to the File Manager app.

Could you install the .deb files from the zip generated in this MR https://code.launchpad.net/~tpeeters/ubuntu-ui-toolkit/toolbar-tabs-deactivate/+merge/186065 and see if the bug exists with that branch of UITK?

Simply wget http://jenkins.qa.ubuntu.com/job/generic-mediumtests-builder-saucy-armhf/1082/artifact/work/output/*zip*/output.zip on the device, unzip output.zip and dpkg -i ouput/*.deb (don't worry if the autopilot package fails to install, you can still test the rest).

That branch has some upcoming changes to the toolbar behavior, so if this is a UITK bug the branch may already fix it.
