Keyboard obscures the text input to navigate to a particular location

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the file manager app
2. Click on "Places" on the toolbar
3. Select the text input to enter a location to navigate to

Results:

- Actual: the keyboard appears and covers the text input, making it impossible to see what's being typed
- Expected: the user can see what they type, the keyboard does not cover any of the entries in the list of places

Perhaps the input field could be at the top of the list?

I can move it to the top of the list, but for some reason I think it looks better at the bottom. Isn't this a bug in the SDK, since it prevents text fields from being at the bottom of the screen? How does the web browser handle it, since I think it has the address field in the toolbar? I don't have a device to test it out at all. It seems like apps should work equally well where ever text fields are placed, and when the keyboard opens, the app scrolls to keep the text field in view instead of having the keyboard cover part of the app.
