Bug Description

Using 2.6.28-12-netbook-eeepc for Jaunty

"echo 0 | sudo tee -a /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state"

This would normally turn Wifi off, indicated by a blue LED in the case of the Eee 901.

As with the stock Ubuntu kernel, it's necessary to upgrade the eee-laptop module as per rincewind's post at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/337199 otherwise rfkill simply doesn't do anything.

This could be a good version of the module to include in your custom kernel.

Note - I find that you have to kill both rfkill0 *and* rfkill1 (wifi and bluetooth) for it to have any effect.
