Bug Description
When I turn off the wifi using Fn+F2 (eee-control package) and than switch it on again the wifi wont work. I tried both rt2860sta and ndiswrapper drivers for the wifi with no effect (actually they behaved a little different but the wifi wasn't usable in both cases). The above scenario is for 2.6.27-8-eeepc-lean kernel. However, if I switch to the generic (2.6.27-11-generic) kernel the wifi works fine after switching it off and on again.
:: edit :: The wifi toggle also works with the 2.6.24-21-eeepc kernel. I have eee901.
I just picked up a 901 as a replacement for my 900. I should be able to validate this issue now.
it may be because one of rt2860sta;s support modules is compiled directly in the -lean kernel, but remains a module under the standard kernel.
