Architecture selection page of the Installation Guide is not user-friendly

Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to page Advanced Topics in Ubuntu 7.04 online documentation at <https://help.ubuntu.com/7.04/advanced-topics/C/index.html>.
2. Click the "Installing Ubuntu via the alternate CD (choose your architecture)" link.

An unstyled webserver-generated page <https://help.ubuntu.com/7.04/installation-guide/> appears. It contains a list of architecture codenames (amd64, i386, ia64, and so on). That page has two shortcomings:

1. Many users may not know what i386 and the like mean. Information on how to find out one's architecture should be added.

2. The page lacks any standard style, navigation and explanatory text present throughout Ubuntu website. This can confuse the user and make her wonder why that page is special, without any good reason. The page should be made to look like other pages, and a short introductory text (for example: "<header>Ubuntu Installation Guide</header> <paragraph>Select your architecture:</paragraph> <list> [ here goes the list of human-readable architectures ] </list>") should be added.

I suppose the thinking is that if you're using the alternate CD you know what those 'codes' mean. But that's not a good reason for it not to be styled and made more user friendly. Confirming.

I considered the argument that only advanced users would need to read the Installation Guide. However, the Guide is intended for newbies as well:

"This document is meant to serve as a manual for first-time Ubuntu users. It tries to make as few assumptions as possible about your level of expertise. However, we do assume that you have a general understanding of how the hardware in your computer works."

I've created an HTML page which is styled, links to each of the guides and provides links to help people determine which guide to choose.

It should work properly if it is renamed to 'index.html' and uploaded to the /7.04/installation-guide/ directory.
