Bug Description

Hi,
I want to install Ubuntu 24.04 LTS alongside with Windows 8.1 (because of some applications). When the installer loads, it says "We're sorry, but we're not sure what the error is. You can try restarting your computer and start the installation process again. You can can also report the issue." I've tried installing Ubuntu first and Ubuntu was working, but Windows somehow broke the system and I couldn't boot into Ubuntu. I even tried restarting the PC too. What should I do?

UPDATE: Sometimes I get into language choosing, but when I click "next" it endlessly spins (as you can see on picture)

Thank you for your bug report Could you add the logs from/var/log/installer after getting the problem or use 'sudo ubuntu-bug ubuntu-desktop-bootstrap' to report the issue (which would automatically include the needed informations)?

Hi,
sorry for late response. Unfortunately, I've already managed to install Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and install 24.04 LTS from there. It works just fine, so thank you for your try to help me :D

Have a nice day.
