Bug Description

Installation fails outright. Boot onto the Live USB and it throws an error claiming installation cannot continue. Tried restarting, different ports and changing the UEFI mode to Legacy. Doesn't want to work flat.

I am attempting to reinstall after my main Ubuntu install corrupted by no longer allowing me to log into my user on Wayland, on X11 it crashes throwing the "something went wrong" error. Tried 'startx' in terminal and it fails completely complaining that X is completely messed up.

Thank you for your bug report Could you add the logs from/var/log/installer after getting the problem or use 'sudo ubuntu-bug ubuntu-desktop-bootstrap' to report the issue (which would automatically include the needed informations)?

Hey there Sebastien,
The bug has seemingly vanished away after writing a new USB via a Arch Linux operating system using DD.

During said install the drive was completely wiped.

I will still attempt to reproduce the conditions it was in to get to that state. I'll update you once I have any findings, or if I have nothing at all within 48 hours.

Getting back to you here Sebastien.
I have currently found nothing, after rewriting the ISO in Alpine Linux, Ubuntu not only installed but proceeded to boot after correctly.

I am still unsure as to what caused this.
