Bug Description

Hello

When installing 24.04 with the latest installer it will crash if there was a previous installation of LVM+LUKs:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Zy0T5GI9G69iXL4HCyv8HoJTwfPjq-9N/view?usp=sharing

Steps to reproduce

1. Install ubuntu with an LVM+LUKs encrypted drive
2. Shutdown and boot into installer
3. Try to install over the drive, the installer should crash on first startup

[Workaround]

wipefs -a /dev/drive/with/lvmluks

Thanks,
Peter

Thank you for your bug report. There is a stack of subiquity debug entries in the log directory but no obvious error, perhaps the subiquity team would understand better what's going on there?

I'd be keen to hear about this - still hitting this issue - it causes random crashes on the laptop. I have to wipefs on the LVM disk every time
