Ubuntu 24.04 fails to start installing on Surface Pro 3

Start installer, Step through basic defaults, fails with unknown error before ability to select target disks, etc

It would appear that the 'report this issue' from the installer didn't include the logs.

The "show log" button only reveals the following

All future attempts to run the installer are immediately met with the same error screen. A reboot is required in order to try and start again, although the outcome is always the same
