Hi fossfreedom;

Ran the install again and submitted another bug report - referencing this
bug report.

As I stated that I am a newbie with the terminal - tried the
/var/log/installer and got that it was a directory.

I downloaded the jammy jellyfish iso and ran it and installed with some
similar type error but did install okay. But when I tried 24.04 got same
error message.

The unit is a 5250 Acer laptop 64bit amd - trying out the install before
trying on an hp that windows 10 buggered the admin on. Been using ubuntu
since beaver

Thanks Mike.
