Bug Description

We should probably rename this to something else as it doesn't currently cover things such as if someone contributes as a translator, tester, or support contribution.

David Planella has been already asked about LP Translations API.

This bug is not about the API, just about renaming the accomplishment to be clearer - such as naming it "Accomplishment Author" or something.

I don't think this is important to rename it rather keeping this name will be more effective for those contributors like translator, tester, or support contribution e.t.c.

For them there could be some types of trophies ideas---

For example Translators:

1. Depending on Translation Karma point ----- a badge or trophy name could be --- "something"
2. Depending on Regularity
3. Depending on project
4. Depending on top translation contributor in launchpad
5. Depending on top translation contributor by project like "Ubuntu Desktop Accomplishments"
6. e.t.c.

All them can be with accomplishment system. Suppose "Ubuntu Desktop Accomplishments" --- Here I've earned 305 points. I've completed it long time passed. Till today I see my name in top of the contributors. So, here you can make two trophies like --- "Top Translator in Ubuntu Desktop Accomplishments ", "Top Contributor in Ubuntu Desktop Accomplishments"

* Depending on Karma point like
-----on 1-500 Translation Karma point--- one trophy like--- "Moon Translator"
-----on 1000 Translation Karma point--- one trophy like--- "Earth Translator"
-----on 2000 Translation Karma point--- one trophy like--- "Sun Translator"

*Depending on Karma point, Regularity, Quality, Speed, you can make separate sub trophies like "Streak"

Streak like--- Perseverance, Great Streak, Awesome Streak, Horse Power Streak, Nice Streak

You can offer a Trophy like ------ Master Translator---- which could be Achieved if some one can achieve several types of streaks.

Finally, if you really think to rename the "Accomplishments" word, my suggestion will be "Achievements" or keep both to make it more effective.

If you want I'm ready to contribute my ideas to make this accomplishment system more effective.

Thanks

Thanks for your detailed thoughts, Kazi.

There are a few problems with your suggestion:

 * Firstly, we don't have accomplishments based on traffic (e.g. how karma is often calculated). See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Accomplishments/Creating/Guidelines for more details.
 * Secondly, we can't detect elements of contribution to the project right now (e.g. translations).

As such, I think it is much more practical to make it clear that this accomplishment refers to *accomplishment creation* to clear up any ambiguity.
