published CoC out of sync with codebase

If you look at the published CoC, you can find some errors in it that don't exist in the codebase. That said, it's clear that the updating is not automatic and does not even seem to be regular. As the glue that holds our community together, I'd say it's probably more important to keep the published CoC updated than to keep the kernel updated.
