I dogfood ubuntu touch on a mako and have never experienced. I asked Alan Pope to test it out on his krillin device and he wasn't able to reproduce the bug. I am not sure how to proceed.

Hi, this was definitely present at the time on the device, but is not happening today (I have run a factory reset since). At the same time as this problem was present I also noticed there was no alarms tab at the bottom edge. Hence I have slight concern the app can get in a strange state.

Would some other log files be useful if I see this again? The application logs from ~/.cache/upstart/ I assume?

The alarms bottom edge is shown *only* when the alarm model has finished loading. The start up sequence of the clock app is as follows, first the start up animation (clock face growing) is shown. Only when the animation is complete, the alarm model is given the signal to start loading. Once the alarm model has loaded, then the bottom edge is shown.

So it could be that the alarm model didn't load. However I do not know how that is connected to the settings page, since the alarm model and the alarm settings code are from two different plugins.

This is an interesting issue none the less. I would love to see the logs from ~/.cache/upstart to see the clock app start up console statements. Thanks for reporting this issue. I will try to keep an eye out for this issue.
