ssh root login possible but no local root login "Die Passwort-Legitimierung hat leider nicht geklappt.Bitte versuchen Sie es erneut"

ssh log in works perfect, but when I try to log in with root account on box itself I get "Die Passwort-Legitimierung hat leider nicht geklappt.Bitte versuchen Sie es erneut"
