Bug Description

As per the answer provided here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/153833/why-cant-i-mount-the-ubuntu-12-04-installer-isos-in-mac-os-x, the mac os x diskutil seems to have a problem with reading the hybrid iso images. A proposed patch is here: http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/mwjwmnKzFyQz0D5AkgyF. Can this be done in Ubuntu as well?

The link here to the "proposed patch" seems to go to a list of quotes, not a particularly useful patch.
