On a german set up phone, searching the app store for "Kalender" doesn't give any results. Only the english term, calendar shows it.

Thanks for reporting the bug. I can reproduce the issue. As we discussed in telegram, this is an upstream issue. The ubuntu store is responsible for grabbing the keywords and using that to display calendar when user search for it by keywords. Calendar has done everything it needs to by setting keywords in the desktops, localising them etc.

Until we get a temporary fix in the Ubuntu Store, perhaps the core apps uploader (popey) can manually import the localized keywords in the app store page.

Reducing bug priority since with ota-10 calendar app will be installed by default, which drastically reduces the chances of a user searching for calendar in the store.

Apologies for the noise. I was going to reassign this to click-package-index as a bug in the searching, but the translated keywords just aren't there to search against. So I think this is actually a duplicate of bug #1383841.

affects: click-package-index → software-center-agent
