Bug Description
The month view shows a few days into the month before and after the active month. You can create events by clicking and then holding a day's number. If you click-and-hold a day from the preceding or following month, the create event dialog shows the respective day, but of the active month, not the one you selected.
Example: While the month view for January is shown, click-and-hold on "Febuary 2nd". The event creation dialog will show "January 2nd“. Same happens selecting a day of December.

so the behavior is a bit different with the latest, but still broken
single tap on a day should turn it gray, then press and hold or pressing "New Event" from bottom edge should bring up the New Event view on that day
Actual result: tapping on a day not in the month (like Feb 2nd) will actually hightlight Jan 2nd instead of highlighting where you fixed.
