Bug Description
Setup a google calendar entry on a Utopic desktop.
Branch latest calendar app from trunk
Run calendar app.
App crashes:-

Note that disabling the calendar sync makes the app run again.

Thank you for reporting bug.
I have tried to reproduce this bug and it happens when you are trying to sync an online account.
Also if you toggle calendar sync on and off it works, We still need to figure out whether the bug is in Calendar app / any permission issues or something else.
