Bug Description
In the Preferences, at first launch of the Viewer, I checked "Hide Ubuntu One file upload notifications". But notifications kept appearing anyway when I received new awards.
This is not the case anymore since I rebooted my computer.
As a side note, that preference, although recommended, was not checked by default.

Well spotted! We can either solve this by adding a clarification in the label in the viewer or by manually restarting the sync-daemon which should reload its config.
