My Ubuntu 10.04 LTS using Linux 2.6.32-40-generic kernel crashed too.

I did hide action on programs task bar and its froze.

restarting with problem solution mode, it had returned the message;

(Zenity:1155): Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to set text from markup due to error parsing markup: Erro na linha 4 caractere 124: Elemento "markup" foi fechado, mas o elemento atualmente aberto é "big".

My version is pt_BR language translated.

To solve:
1- Reboot and Reload with Linux 2.6.32-39-generic kernel;
2- show action on program task bar;
3- reboot and reload using Linux 2.6.32-40-generic kernel.

it should work now.
