Bug Description
Currently there is no option to set up the application to use a web proxy, even though there is a method in the Twitter4J library to define the proxy. It may work. So we should add the respective options to the preferences dialog and if possible get the operating system configuration too.

Now it's possible to define the proxy host address and port with the XML configuration, but this setting still needs user interface. And it's not possible to deal with authenticated proxy yet, but this would be another issue (please somebody else record this as a distinct report if needed).
