Bug Description

When starting dark mode, the font color gets lighter, but instead of the whole screen darkening, only the top and bottom edges get darkened. All in all, it doesn't look like it was intended this way. Attached is an image.

OS: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS x64

Weird, I'm having the exact opposite issue with Focus Mode. When I go into Focus Mode, it darkens the editor window but leaves the text gray, which makes it wholly unusable. Meanwhile, the top and bottom window margins are left white. And when I leave Focus Mode, the cursor goes back to normal scroll, but the styling doesn't revert. See attached screenshot.
