Fails to install on Ubuntu 14.04: "uberwriter depends on python3.3:any"

No possibility for install. I think Ubuntu is now on Python 3.4.

Is the Uberwriter project dead?

After fighting a bit with uberwriter's sources (and discovering that, for instance, the launchpad code is some revisions behind the latest version on the PPA) I rebuilt the latest version for trusty:

No problem. I haven't had much time lately, but if there's interest and the original author doesn't come back I may do a fork of uberwriter myself. It's a neat little app, it would be a pity to just let it bitrot.

Hello all,

I am immensly sorry for the delay and lack of responsiveness. I have been very busy with my bachelor thesis, which is finished now.

Future development is taking place on github: https://github.com/wolfv/uberwriter (just because I don't want to dive into bzr).

I uploaded a new version of UberWriter to the ppa several days ago. It's not perfect yet, but the interface is a bit updated. It will probably look worse under unity (for now) because I mainly live in a gnome-shell environment with Adwaita as theme. Also Inconsolata is my new font of choice! But the good news is that it will be more customizable, as well, so everyone can easily edit the css and change everything to their liking.

I'll work on it in the next few days and soon it should be more beautiful and more stable than ever.
