Bug Description
Currently, the 'New' action pops up a dialog box asking me if I want to save changes and the new file opens in the same window, and the current document disappears.
I often need to edit/view multiple files at once so this is quite important.
The way I get around this is to launch a new instance of UberWriter from the dash - enabling me to work with multiple documents.
I suggest fixing this by changing the code for the new file action to `subprocess.Popen` the UberWriter executable.
This bug was observed on the Ubuntu software centre version for 12.10 and the PPA version for 12.04.

Hi Lazyteq,
thanks for the bug report.
I understand your issue. However, I don't think it would be ideally solved by Popen a window ... Because, ideally one would probably keep track of all windows spawned by the process and close them all with Ctrl+Q etc.
Anyhow, I will try to think of a solution for the next version
