Bug Description

On several computers I have found that WebShell when run on Firefox will not accept dashes "-" in the commad line.

Webmin is Fine and Chrome is fine in WebShell and Webmin.

Does not seem to matter which version of FireFox (v 12 and forward). I do recall it working in the past though so something may ave changed.

I have discovered that this is a known bug in shellinabox (ie WebShell) see the bug here: http://code.google.com/p/shellinabox/issues/detail?id=202&can=1&q=firefox%20-

There has been a fair bit of discussion on the bug thread and a number of patches posted, but it seems that the upstream software still includes the bug. Someone has created a fork on GitHub (see here: https://github.com/pythonanywhere/shellinabox_fork/commits/master) and from a quick, unqualified glance the patch that looks best is this one: http://code.google.com/p/shellinabox/issues/attachmentText?id=202&aid=2020023000&name=0001-add-new-keyCodes-used-by-FF15.patch&token=pMKwekJKMwqxk0LdQb_v3koRJA4%3A1359116862637
