Bug Description

After proposing my git branch merge proposal, it seems that there is something wrong and hindering launchpad to generate the diff for it, not sure if it's just a hiccup, but it happened twice.

compare-merge of c9fe243 and dc2d173 crashes with a UnicodeEncodeError (https://pastebin.canonical.com/146904/plain/), which turns into a 404 (applied https://pastebin.canonical.com/146903/ to get details). Not quite sure what's going on there.

It's due to the conflict in plainbox-provider-plano/units/common.pxu. You can get a diff by fixing that conflict.
