Bug Description

I was just trying to load that GUI thing into Glade - I never did this before and have no clue about Glade, however the current source does not play well with the default glade that can be installed on Ubuntu 18.04, I get a warning in a dialogbox that I can not copy paste (!) so I put a screenshot here.

OK, I now have uploaded a screen shot with the "optional attachement" thing down here, but I can not see any picture - this is such a nostalgic experience! makes me feel like 1997 or so when people tried to figure out how to get pictures into "that damn browser thing". Funny.

So not knowing if the screenshot will be visible I now will copy write the text from a dialog box that makes it not possible to copy paste text, just for the love of this little tool:

tunnelmanager.ui targets Gtk+ 2.6
But this version of Glade is for GTK3+ only.
Make sure you can run this project with Glade 3.8 with no deprecated widgets first.
Specially because there is an object that can not be build with the type GtkUIManager.

The GUI Layout Manager then starts and on top there is another warning - again I can NOT copy paste that warning - unbelievable - so I write it down:

FIXME: Unable to create object with type GtkUIManager.

How can this be converted (automatically) to a project that is compatible with newer versions of glade / GTK?

This probably has to do with some sort of backward compatibility issue and the version I originally coded against being deprecated or something. I'll look into it when I have a chance.

If I can get it to run on bionic without modifying the .ui file, I probably will not try to fix this issue ... sorry about that.

Hmm. I only see python-glade2 in bionic. I'm uncertain whether there is a python module with glade3 support in bionic. Until I have a bionic dev environment, I won't know whether I'll be able to continue with the existing ui method or not.
