comix is an application to read comic books archived as .cbr and .cbz. Comicthumb is part of the package and is designed to make thumbnails from the archives.
comicthumb is used automatically by nautilus and others so that thumbnails are shown when browsing files, it would be good to have pantheon-files to do the same.
