Bug Description

ubuntu 9.10 linux 2.6.31-20-generic
tsclient 0.150-2ubuntu2

Using ica from citrix with tsclient leads to a Error: 3 (E_BAD_OPTION). There is a description of this bug also at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=439089 with a patch that I forward here.

The bug is still there on Lucid.
Quite annoying, any possibility to include the patch and release an updated package ?

I manually applied the patch above, and compiled the source. The problem was not solved. After searching further I found the error "E_BAD_OPTION" comes from the program wfica, which is provided by citrix, and is not part of tsclient. wfica is only called by tsclient.

By making more changes to the code I noted that the error comes from entering a protocol file in tsclient, which renders the parameter "-passwd" for wfica. It is this parameter which is regarded as the bad option according to my findings. However, after this another error happened so I am stuck again.

I applied the patch as indicated in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=439089#42 and it fixed the Error: 3 (E_BAD_OPTION).

But I realised that tsclient is only an interface to the ICAclient (as Wim Goenman already said). So if you're not happy with with the icaclient you won't be happy with tsmclient because it only starts the icaclient. Nothing more.
