Bug Description

Please backport openvpn 2.3.2-9ubuntu1 (main) from utopic to trusty.

Reason for the backport:
========================
Need support for verify-x509-name configuration directive.

Testing:
========
Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s utopic -d trusty openvpn

* trusty:
[ ] Package builds without modification
[ ] openvpn installs cleanly and runs

Reverse dependencies:
=====================
The following reverse-dependencies need to be tested against the new version of openvpn. For reverse-build-dependencies (-Indep), please test that the package still builds against the new openvpn. For reverse-dependencies, please test that the version of the package currently in the release still works with the new openvpn installed. Reverse- Recommends, Suggests, and Enhances don't need to be tested, and are listed for completeness-sake.

Built and tested latest version from upstream:

Successful test of /usr/local/sbin/openvpn to connect to my OpenVPN server ...

I'm new to this whole backport request stuff and burned a lot of time setting up a PGP key and then trying to figure out from where backportpackage was conjuring its incorrect email address for me.

Thanks!

We need someone to have tested the package itself rather than their own
build. I'll upload a test to ppa:laney/backports-testing - maybe you
could try that (assuming it builds) and report back to this bug using
the checkboxes in the first post.

Thanks for the request.
